Optional discoveries
This guide describes secret mechanics and rewards. These events are optional and do not all appear in every run. The world can select a rare feature for one of its planets, so a missing encounter is not a reason to circle the same area indefinitely.
Scan while travelling and investigate unusual light, landmarks or returning signals. Hidden rewards become much easier to follow once you treat sonar as an exploration tool rather than only a way to locate the next enemy.
Follow the wisp
Interact with a wisp to begin following it. Stay close as it travels toward its destination. Unlike the lost spirit, the wisp leads you; falling too far behind for too long can make it fade before the journey finishes.
At the destination, a reward chest appears where the wisp settles. Open it to claim the special Treasure Sense relic. Treasure Sense changes what sonar can uncover and opens the route to a further hidden boss once its progression requirements are met.
Do not race ahead and assume you have completed the secret because you reached the general area. Let the wisp settle and complete its reveal, then collect the reward it leaves.
Bring the lost spirit home
Befriend the lost spirit, then lead it to the marked home beacon. This time you are the guide. The spirit follows and can catch up if you move beyond its usual leash, but the journey completes when both you and the spirit arrive near home.
If a battle begins, the current rules let the spirit hide and wait. It resumes following once the battle ends. Finish the fight, check the spirit’s position, and continue toward the beacon. Arriving alone does not finish the escort.
Wait briefly at home for the spirit to settle. The completion message confirms that it has arrived, and a chest appears as its gift. Moving treasure uses a different interaction: pursue the fleeing object and attack it until it breaks, then collect the reward.
Flower rites and guardians
A flower rite asks you to activate its flowers in the correct order. Follow the highlighted next step and the links that indicate progression. The current wrong-choice behavior resets the sequence, so rushing between flowers without reading the hint can undo your progress.
Completing a rite can lead to a wisp, an escort or a chest payoff. Follow the resulting encounter through to completion instead of assuming the final flower is always the entire reward.
A grand landmark can conceal a guardian route. After bringing down the landmark, use sonar to find the awakened enemy. Defeating the guardian grants Guardian’s Call, the summon skill. That card is a special encounter reward rather than part of the normal random card pool.
When something is hunting you
Hunters become part of the later Ascension experience. Their pulse points inward toward you from the direction of the approaching enemy. The signal is a warning that the threat is moving, not a stationary objective waiting patiently for your arrival.
Keep away while preparing your cards and power, then take the fight when you are ready. Avoid getting trapped between the hunter’s approach, a damaging weather pocket and a separate battle you did not intend to start. Defeating it is an optional reward opportunity, but surviving the run remains the priority.
