Privacy Policy

Effective 27 September 2026 · Version 2026-09-27

Journey’s End heroes protecting their cart.

In short. Offline play saves on your device. Online play saves your verified progress and rankings to an account, which can be a guest account. The game sends gameplay statistics and crash reports to help us improve it; you can turn both off in Settings → Privacy (in versions with online play: your profile → Privacy choices). Optional rewarded ads come from Google. We do not sell your personal information, and you can delete your online account in the game: a guest account is erased right away, a linked account 30 days later unless you choose to keep it.

This policy covers Journey’s End for iOS and Android, its online services and these game pages. The game is made and published by Edenworks (“Edenworks”, “we”, “us”), which is responsible for your information. Questions or privacy requests: support@edenworks.ca.

Saved on your device

Progress, run checkpoints, settings and your privacy choices are saved on your device. They stay there until you clear the app’s data or uninstall, subject to your platform’s backups. Offline play does not upload your saves.

Online play and your account

When you choose to play online, we use:

We use this information to provide online play because you asked for it (our agreement with you), and to keep the game fair and secure and improve it (our legitimate interests). A guest account is linked to your device and is not anonymous to us.

Gameplay statistics and crash reports

To understand how the game is played and to fix problems, the app sends gameplay statistics to GameAnalytics (GameAnalytics ApS) and crash reports to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), who process them for us as service providers. Gameplay statistics include progress events (a road started, cleared or lost; your route, difficulty and score), choices such as which reward you picked, first-time guidance steps, and technical details (device model, operating system, app version, connection type) with a random identifier that GameAnalytics creates on your device. Crash reports include the error, where in the game it happened, the app version and your platform. Neither service receives your name, email address, advertising identifier or online account; we remove web addresses, tokens and email addresses from crash reports before they are sent. Your connection’s IP address is visible to these services when data is sent; we ask Sentry not to store it.

Both are on by default. On devices set to French in Canada, gameplay statistics, crash reports and personalised ads start off and the game asks you whether to turn them on. Turn them off anytime in Settings → Privacy, or in versions with online play in your profile → Privacy choices (“Share gameplay stats”, “Send crash reports”); turning one off stops it immediately. When you are signed in, the same choices are saved with your online account.

Optional ads and tracking

Some versions offer an optional rewarded ad for a rescue after defeat or an extra boss reward. You can always decline and take the normal outcome. There are no banner ads or unrequested interruptions.

Ads come from Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, Google may collect or receive your IP address and approximate location, device and advertising identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostic information, for advertising, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention, even if the ad does not load or you close it early.

On iPhone and iPad the app asks for Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission for Google’s ads. If you allow it, Google may use your device’s advertising identifier to show more relevant ads; if you don’t, you get the same game and the same rewards, with ads that are not personalised. On any device you can turn off Settings → Privacy → Personalized ads. Where the law gives you further choices, for example in the EEA, the UK and US states with privacy laws, Settings → Privacy → Privacy choices opens Google’s consent options. Personalised ads may count as “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under some US state laws; those settings are how you opt out. See Google’s Privacy Policy, how Google uses data from partner apps and its SDK disclosures for Android and iOS.

Who helps us

We share information only with the providers who run parts of the game for us, and only what each needs:

Other players see only your public profile and rankings. We may disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect players, the game or others from fraud, abuse or harm. We do not sell your personal information. Your information may be processed outside your country, including in the United States and Europe; we use providers that protect it with encryption in transit and access controls.

How long we keep it

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict some uses, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your privacy regulator. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. A guest account that was never linked cannot be recovered from a nickname or player ID alone.

Children

Journey’s End is intended for players aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an online account or has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Support

When you email us, we use your address and what you send to reply and investigate. Please do not include passwords, email codes or unrelated sensitive information.

Changes to this policy

When our practices change, we update this page and its version and effective date. For important changes, the game shows the update and asks you to accept it before you continue. Changes never switch on optional data collection without your choice. Earlier versions are available on request.
