Terms of Service

Effective 27 September 2026 · Version 2026-09-27

The short version. Play fair, keep your account safe and be kind in anything other players can see. Online scores count only when our server verifies them. Offline play never needs an account. You can delete your online account in the game at any time.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Journey’s End is made and published by Edenworks (“Edenworks”, “we”, “us”). Contact: support@edenworks.ca.

These terms cover the Journey’s End app for iOS and Android, its online accounts, online play, rankings and events, and these game pages (together, the “game”). The licence terms of the store you downloaded the game from also apply. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law in your country gives you and that cannot be limited by agreement.

2. Agreeing to these terms

When you tap Accept & Continue in the game, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information. If you do not agree, do not use the game. Agreeing to these terms is not a choice about optional gameplay statistics, crash reports, personalised ads or tracking: those have their own settings.

Journey’s End is intended for players aged 13 and older. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should read these terms with you and agree to them for you.

3. Your account

Offline play needs no account. Online play needs one: you can start as a guest or sign in with Google, Apple or an email code. Keep your sign-in methods secure. We will never ask for your Google or Apple password, an email code or a game session token. Enter an email code only in the game screen that asked for it.

A guest account lives on your device. If you lose the device, clear the app’s data or uninstall before linking Google, Apple or email, the guest account and its online progress may be lost for good. Link a sign-in method in Account Center to protect it. Linking or switching accounts needs verification and does not merge two accounts.

Do not share, sell or buy accounts, and do not pretend to be someone else. Your public player ID, nickname, portrait, the profile frame, background and title you equip, and your ranked results can be seen by other players. Your email address and sign-in details are never shown publicly.

4. Online play, scores and rankings

Online runs are played on our server. The server decides which runs count, the score, your progress, rewards and event timing. Scores, screenshots, device clocks or files from your device do not by themselves earn a rank or reward. Offline runs never count toward online rankings, challenges or event rewards, and are not added later.

If your connection drops, the game follows the recovery rules it shows you: the server may resume your run, end it, or count it as it stood. Best ranks your best single eligible run; Monthly adds up the score of every eligible online run in that month; finished months feed the yearly Hall of Fame. A result or rank can change while it is being verified or corrected. A leaderboard position does not earn money or prizes unless an event’s published rules say so.

Testing period. While online play is in testing, online progress, rankings and rewards may be reset, and features may change or be switched off without notice.

5. Fair play and conduct

Do not:

If you find a bug that gives an unfair advantage, please tell us instead of using it. We may correct scores and rewards that are invalid or wrong, hide results from rankings, change a nickname, or restrict or suspend online play where reasonably necessary to protect players and the game. We base these decisions on our server’s records; a poor connection alone is not treated as cheating. If you think we made a mistake, contact us and we will review it.

6. The game is licensed, not sold

We, or those who license to us, own the game, including its code, art, music, characters and names. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the game for your own entertainment, under these terms and the store’s licence terms. You may not copy, sell, rent or redistribute the game or its content, or reverse engineer it, except where the law expressly allows you to.

Scores, ranks, rewards, relics, cards and other in-game items are part of the game. They have no money value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are not your property. We may change how they work.

7. Updates, maintenance and availability

We update and rebalance the game over time. Online play may need the latest version of the app and its game data; the game tells you when an update is needed, and offline play stays available where your installed version allows. We may pause online play for maintenance, usually with notice in the game. We do not promise that the game or any feature will always be available or free of errors, and we may end online services. If we do, we will give reasonable notice where we can.

8. Optional ads and purchases

Some versions offer optional rewarded ads from Google. Watching one is always your choice; declining leaves the normal outcome. A reward is given only after the ad service confirms the ad was completed, and ads are not always available. The game has no in-app purchases. If we ever add them, their price and terms will be shown before you buy.

9. Deleting your account and ending these terms

You can stop playing at any time. You can delete your online account in the game (Account Center → Delete account), including a guest account, or by emailing us from the address linked to it. A guest account is erased right away, with its online progress, public profile and rankings. An account linked to Google, Apple or email is locked at once and erased 30 days later, with the same, as described in the Privacy Policy. Until then, you can sign in and choose Keep my account to cancel, or Delete now to have it erased without waiting. Once erased, it cannot be recovered. After a deletion, and when you sign out, the game on that device starts over as a new player. Signing out of a guest account deletes it, because a guest account cannot be signed back into. Signing out of a linked account, or uninstalling, does not delete it.

We may suspend or close an online account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires us to. Sections 6, 10 and 11 continue to apply after these terms end.

10. Our responsibility to you

We make the game with care, but to the extent the law allows, it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without promises that it will meet your needs, work without interruption or keep every piece of online progress. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law of the place where you live, including your right to take a complaint to a court or regulator. If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.

Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and are not responsible for the game’s online services or for supporting them.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update this page and its version and effective date. For important changes, the game will show the change and ask you to accept the new version before you continue to play online. Changes never switch on optional data collection without your choice.

12. Contact

Questions, reports of bugs or unfair play, and appeals: support@edenworks.ca. Please include your public player ID (Account Center) and the app version, and never send a password or email code.
